Michaela Slinger

Michaela Slinger is a Vancouver-based pop singer-songwriter and “legendary songbird in the making” (MRG Group). Her new record ‘This Can’t Last Forever’ is “sonically ambitious […] and infectiously joyful” (RANGE Magazine), and was written between Vancouver, Nashville, Los Angeles, and Toronto with collaborators including Khalid Yassein (Wild Rivers) and Ryan Stewart (Carly Rae Jepsen). Slinger embarked on a 19-show self-planned North American tour to promote the record the “old-fashioned way”, and it seems that strategy is working—she was hand-picked to open for Dermot Kennedy at Toronto’s Budweiser Stage and Donovan Woods at the Jackson Triggs Ampitheatre, graced the cover of Amazon Music's 'Fresh Folk and Acoustic' playlist, was spotlighted SiriusXM's Poplandia 'About To Break' program, and featured on CBC Music’s ‘Songs You Need To Hear’. The record’s title is a statement of fact—the sole, inescapable condition of living that Slinger is working to accept.
