Mikey Jose and the Bungalow - Sunday, December 10th at 2:20pm

$0.00
sold out

A combination of retro soul and modern R&B/pop flair, Mikey Jose’s familiar yet novel sound has been turning heads internationally and catching the attention of major global talent. Drawing comparisons to soulful heavy-hitters like Stevie Wonder and Leon Bridges, Jose carves his own lane that blends generational sounds while injecting his own fresh take on growing up in modern times. His latest collaborative single release “Making It Right” with Augie Bello and Harrison Finks is a testament to this, landing on Spotify editorial playlists “Retro Pop”, “NuFunk”, and “Soul in the City” next to similar sounds like Allen Stone, MAX, and Samm Henshaw.

Mikey and his band, known as "Mikey Jose and The Bungalow”, have performed sold out shows in Vancouver’s biggest venues, from providing electric direct support performances for NYC’s soul-pop stars, Lawrence, to "[bringing] the house down" at local and international music festivals (Virgin Radio Vancouver). Jose is working on his sophomore EP (“beautiful life”) and debut full-length LP, both of which are set to roll out beginning in 2023.

Mikey is currently pursuing a PhD in Neuroscience at the University of British Columbia to understand the power of music in medicine. He has been featured on the TEDx global platform, Music Care International Conference, Vancouver Symphony Orchestra’s Roundtable series, Broadway’s Best for Parkinson’s, and more.
